HEAD START TEACHER – FRANKLIN COUNTY
The Head Start Program operates on the same calendar as the Franklin County schools. The program provides early childhood development and education to 3 and 4-year-old students. The Teacher supervises the Teacher Assistant assigned to the class, implements age-appropriate curriculum and performance standards, conducts ongoing observations and assessments, and maintains anecdotal records for children.
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in any subject with coursework equivalent to a major relation to Early Childhood Education and 2 years of work experience in teaching preschool-age children. Associates degree in Early Childhood Education may be considered with at least four years of classroom teaching experience. Candidate must have completed DCF state-mandated training (45 hours) for all classroom positions. The candidate must include a transcript with application outlining classes taken specifically in Early Childhood Education. The position is full time; the employer will discuss work days, hours and salary. A valid class E driver’s license is required.
